INDEPENDENCE:
If you live off-campus, there are less rules (no rules?) to follow and no RA overseeing everything you do.
PRIVACY:
Living in a dorm means you’ll most likely be sharing your bedroom with one, two, or even more people. When you live off campus, you’re more likely to have your own space.
MORE SPACE:
What’s more, your space usually means more space A dorm room is usually one-half the size of a regular bedroom.
ROOMMATE:
When living off-campus, you have more control over who your roommates are. This way you aren’t stuck with someone you can’t stand to be around.
LESS EXPENSIVE:
On campus housing, often costs as much as tuition. In most instances, you are also required to purchase a meal plan which can be extremely expensive.
HEALTH:
When you live on campus, you cross germs (ew) with more people. Living off-campus can help you avoid getting sick during flu season.
BUILD CREDIT:
Establishing a history of on-time rental and utility payments helps you start to build a solid credit history. Even better if you can do so on your credit card!
